Individual Trips

TBBCT assists individuals with transport to support their health and well-being.

We provide transport to medical appointments locally and where necessary within the region and north to South East Queensland.   We take transport bookings for a variety of health appointments, for example to a local GP or allied health service (such as community health, podiatrist or optometrist) or for a specialist appointment or hospital stay.

We can also provide transport to assist you to attend to personal business, such as visits to the hairdresser, solicitor, or to see a loved one.

Individual transport is provided by our team of volunteers, in the volunteer’s own vehicle or one from our fleet.   We have a range of vehicles, including wheelchair accessible, to accommodate our clients’ mobility needs.

This type of transport is generally provided as an individual service.  However, sometimes clients are asked to share with others who are travelling to close destinations within a similar time-frame.  This allows us to provide trips to more people.

We need at least 2 working days notice to coordinate this type of transport and recommend bookings be made at the time of making your appointment.    Although we understand sometimes you may get an appointment at late notice, we cannot guarantee your transport in this situation.
