Before you can book a trip, you need to become a client.
We are funded to provide transport services to those who are:
- older people (65 and over, or 50 and over if Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander) – through the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP)
- younger people with a disability – through the Community Care Supports Program (CCSP)
- the carer of an older person or a person with a disability
- isolated and unable to access mainstream transport options – through the Community Transport Program
To access Community Transport and other aged care services contact the Federal Government’s My Aged Care on 1800 200 422. You will be asked a number of questions to determine what aged care services you might be eligible for. Tell them you would like to use Tweed Byron Ballina Community Transport and they will send us a referral.
Younger People with a Disability and Other People who are Transport Disadvantaged
Contact our office on 1300 875 895 for an over the phone assessment. You will be asked some questions about your circumstances to determine whether you are eligible. It is best to call well in advance of any appointments for which you need transport.
