Do you get on well with people? If yes, you may be perfect for our team.
All our volunteers receive training and support and are reimbursed for expenses related to their service.
Volunteer Drivers work with us on a rostered basis, assisting individuals to get to medical and other important appointments.
We have a fleet of comfortable, late model vehicles, some of which are modified for wheelchair access. All volunteer drivers receive a full orientation to the vehicle they would drive.
Some volunteers drive their own vehicle, for which they are reimbursed on a per km basis to assist with vehicle costs. Own car drivers must have a late model vehicle, with air conditioning and comprehensive car insurance.
Our Bus Services
TBBCT offer regular bus services to local shopping centres and for social outings. They provide access to essential goods and services and help keep our clients connected to their community. Our clients really value these bus services and the teams who work on them.
Volunteer Social Bus Coordinators organise social trips for their groups; arranging destinations, bookings and passenger lists, as well as keeping an eye on the passengers and assisting the driver where needed.
Volunteer Shopping Bus Attendants assist clients on and off the bus, where necessary helping with wheelie walkers and other mobility aids. Whilst on the bus and getting to the shops, they are responsible for the safety of the passengers. On the homeward journey, attendants help our clients to their door with their shopping bags
